using Jungian concepts and theory. The program provides assistance in the development of
self awareness and esteem, exploring life journey and relationships with others and self.

Austin Repatriation Hospital for Veterans

This was a rewarding and fulfilling placement being able to achieve positive results of client's issues between the ages
of 20 to 60 years using art as a tool for counselling
•  Psychotherapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions exploring life journey, war trauma and strengths
•  Case analysis and management and medical report writing
•  Worked as part of a multidiscipline team, working with trauma and related personal issues as a result of PTSD,
such as suicide ideation, depression and drug addition.

Somali Refugee Weaving Project
Art Therapy Facilitator: Teaching and facilitating weaving skills to Somali refugee women and children to gather and
strengthen their cultural connection, reduce isolation and provide a forum for the expression of issues.
The final artwork is on permanent display in the health and education foyer

Statewide Forensic Service
Counselled males between the age of 18 to 40 years with an Intellectual Disability in a residential treatment facility using CBT and art therapy. •  Provided individual art psychotherapy involving psycho education, trauma related issues and sense of self and identity.
•  Ran closed art therapy groups and worked as part of a team of health professionals providing detailed reports, case management
